This Concert Band can't be defined by one genre of music as we like to play a wide range from many genres. Our repertoire includes arrangements of popular movie themes and musicals, classic marches, a few classical favourites, as well as some jazz standards and familiar pop tunes, even some new pieces written just for us! For our concerts, we chose music that will entertain the audience.

Members range in age from 16 to 60+. Most players have a few years experience by now; some have been playing for much longer. Whatever we play, we aim to really enjoy the music and have a lot of fun together.

West Winds Concert Band (previously the BrizWest Concert Band) plays a number of concerts throughout the year, including ANZAC Day memorials, fetes, carnivals and Christmas Carols.

If you or anyone you know plays or used to play an instrument, come have a cup of tea or coffee with us at our next rehearsal, you might be surprised at how much you enjoy the atmosphere. The Concert Band rehearses weekly on Wednesday nights 7:30-9:30pm at Rainworth State School, Bardon, in the Multi-Purpose Room. Members are requested to arrive 15mins early to help setup and for rehearsal and warm-up/tune.
